Abstract

Summary

This paper describes a workflow for processing, interpretation and inversion of 2D4C seismic data used for Northern Caspian clastic reservoir delineation based on lithology, and its results. A full-wave seismic acquisition OBC program was completed in a shallow-sea environment (3 to 5 m water depth). The processing workflow accounted for non-symmetrical propagation of PS-waves. PP- and PS-wave events were registered and interpreted using merged method of interval Vp/Vs ratios validation based on well log measurements. It has been demonstrated that proposed workflow with joint PP-PS inversion improves the accuracy of rock lithology identification.
