Abstract

Summary

We developed GREATEM 1D modeling technique that can consider a curved grounded-wire source and a laterally constrained inversion (LCI) schemes of GREATEM data. Through the numerical tests, it was found that a curved grounded-wire affects the GREATEM 1D response significantly only when they are measured near the wire and at early time. The laterally constrained inversion can alleviate the problem common to many 1D inversion schemes of noisy-looking models and provide laterally smooth section. Applying LCI to GREATEM data obtained in the Korea, we confirmed that LCI can provide layered and laterally smooth model section.
