Abstract
This paper represents the typical examples of application of the united procedures of seismic and
well-log data interpretation to study the reservoirs and fluid traps on the oil and gas fields of
West Siberia. The procedures are based on the inversion methods of seismic data processing
with the instruments of the interpretation system ReapackRD (LINUX/Intel) and methods of
crosswell correlation of the strata and their identification with lithofacies and acoustic features,
obtained from seismic and log analyses. The procedures allow to trace the boundaries of the
reservoirs, to study the reservoir morphology, the reflection coefficients fixed in the strata’s top
and bottom boundaries, the fault zones and the zones of the lithologic replacement of permeable
rocks by leakless ones, which determine the hydrodynamic environment of productive strata.
