Abstract

Summary

In-situ condensate formation is a great challenge in gas condensate reservoirs. There are many ways to solve this problem such as gas injection, which can prevent the formation of gas condensates in the reservoir and also can help the producing condensates formed in the reservoir. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of injecting CO2 and natural gas to increase recovery of condensates in the gas condensate reservoirs. Therefore, an Iranian gas condensate reservoir was selected and the simulation model was generated. Then, the scenarios of natural recovery, injection of CO2 and natural gas were simulated. At the end, the results of each scenario were compared with each other and it was observed that the injection of carbon dioxide is better and more economical for recycling of gas condensates than natural gas injection.
