Abstract
Summary
This idea results from the need to replace the work of an operator using conventional 8kg hammer, which it is hit on a metal plate to spread the impact on the geological basement and so thus to record the impact signal through the geophones. The hammer it is used manually for each shot. Thereby, the designed seismic source represents an alternative to the hammer, being not dependent on conventional energy sources, as it is manually operated, modular and easily installable, pretending to be as lightweight and easy to be moved as possible, and can regulate the intensity of impact.
