Mapping And Interpretation Of Kaytazdere Region, Yalova By Using Geophysical And Geotechnical Data

The characteristics of the soil are crucial in the engineering. Geophysical methods are used in order to determine the characteristic of soils. The characteristic of soils can be expressed via seismic velocities and elastic modules such as elasticity modulus, compressibility modulus, shear modulus and poisson ratio etc. In this study, Kaytazdere region has been mapped and interpreted by using geophysical and geotechnical data. Kaytazdere is located in Yalova, Turkey. In the study area, 24 fields were studied and characteristics of the soils were estimated. As a result, the study area has been mapped by correlating parameters and interpreted.
