Abstract

Summary

When carrying out a complex of engineering and geological surveys for the construction of energy facilities on the territory with the spread of carbonate terrigenous rocks, it is important to identify the presence of zones of disturbed addition (fractured, cavernous and gravel-crushed rocks). This need is due to the fact that the above zones are often characterized by increased water availability. Clear identification of such zones is an important aspect for the proper construction of drainage systems, which in turn contributes to the safe construction of excavations and buildings as well as their further exploitation.

This article presents the results of interpretation of geophysical data (seismic profiling, inter-well tomographic translucence at longitudinal waves), and compares these data with the filtration parameters obtained as a result of the creation of numerical hydrogeological models for delineating the zone of increased fracturing and development of gravel-crushed soils within roof limestone shells.

In the present study, two problems were solved: 1. Zoning of the geological space of the study area according to the physical properties characterizing permeability. 2. Determination of filtration parameters of zones of increased permeability of rocks using numerical simulation methods. To solve these problems, a complex of geological and geophysical methods was used, as well as numerical simulation methods.
