Abstract
The result of study had gave new insight of paleo-environment and paleo-geography of Timor-Tanimbar region. Paleogeography of Timor-Tanimbar has changed during Mesozoic, from Triassic to Cretaceous. A new insight of reconstruction give us possiblity to explore the new play on this region. In Middle Jurassic, there are three possible trap configurations can be identified for this play which are sub thrust, tilted fault block and gentle dip anticline in Timor region. In Tanimbar region, there are two trap configurations that can be found in this play which are three-way dip closure of sub-thrust and normal tilted fault block. Series of trap configuration which can be divided into sub thrust on NW of Timor-Tanimbar trough and normal tilted fault block on SE of the trough create possibility of hydrocarbon accumulation.
