Abstract

Summary

The paper considers various methods for determining the coefficients of attenuation of an electromagnetic wave from the data of the GPR survey, as well as a resonance method for measuring the electrical properties of soils. In the framework of classical electrodynamics, a method has been developed for determining the attenuation coefficients in the microwave range 1200–1700 MHz, based on quantitative processing of the GPR data. The application of the method to the determination of electrophysical properties provides an accuracy of 10–20%.
