Abstract
Summary
In order to effectively assess low salinity waterflooding it is essential to design appropriate laboratory analyses that employ best practice processes and provide sufficient analytical results to allow detailed quality control and interpretation of the data. It is also essential to investigate the potential impact that low salinity waterflooding may have on aspects of formation damage and geomechanics. These data, together with information of mineralogy and brine chemistry, will allow evaluation of the feasibility of low salinity waterflooding as a potential EOR field process.
