Abstract
Summary
Pressure transient analysis of injectors and producers in the South Arne Chalk field indicates productivity and injectivity changes that originate from production induced stress changes. The changes occur not only in the hydraulic fracture, but also in the reservoir in general. In addition, enhanced permeability is indicated by time-lapse seismic to be strongly controlled by fracturing associated with major faults. Incorporating this observation into an integrated model of the reservoir accounting for enhanced permeability as well as the associated stress sensitivity has improved the matching of the historical well performance as well as the confidence in the predictability of the model.
