Abstract

Summary

It is difficult to estimate the value of the quality factor Q in gas cloud area due to the poor quality of seismic data caused by attenuation of seismic wave energy. In this paper, a compensation method based on a data-driven algorithm for seismic in gas cloud area is proposed. In this method, the reflection amplitudes of different time, different frequencies, different shot points and different receiver points are analyzed statistically, so the corresponding compensation factor value could be estimated under the assumption of lateral continuity to the reflection amplitudes, thus avoiding the conventional complex steps to estimate the Q value. This method is applied in real seismic data processing of gas cloud area, and it shows good application effects.
