Abstract

Summary

The integrated petrophysical interpretation has been illustrated by summarizing variety of data such as well log, core, drilling, wellbore imaging, production data, onshore analogues work as well as the key lessons learnt from exploration and production activities. Fractured granite basement play represented by the most significant granite of Ca Na complex. That has been affected by tectonic activities, varied by many diagenetic processes combining with weathering condition and intrusive dyke activities leading to either enhancement or depletion of the basement reservoir quality. The statistic of second porosity, fracture porosity (percentage of macro and micro fractures), irreducible water saturation, net pore, and thickness of fault zones made up from fields data in the Cuu Long basin is significant analogous for estimating hydrocarbon initial in place, building 3D geological modeling as well as better understanding the heterogeneity properties of fractured basement reservoir.
