Abstract
The Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation (CSTI) in Japan has established the “Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP)” in 2014 to promote exploration, mining, and development of seafloor massive sulfide deposits. Two private sectors, J-MARES and JAMSA have deployed several research surveys over known seafloor hydrothermal fields. The integrated quantitative interpretation of multimodal geophysical data is required for the exploration of submarine hydrothermal deposits. In this paper, we introduce an innovative approach to quantitative interpretation of the multimodal geophysical data integrated with geological and mineralogical information. The developed approach can be applied to any kinds of multimodal geophysical survey data in order to interpret the complex geological structure in the survey area.
