Abstract

Summary

We propose a new pulse sequence with three windows to acquire the magnetization decay data of fast and slow relaxation components simultaneously. We apply a joint inversion scheme to recover the complicated components from the decay data. Numerical simulation proves that the multiple types of complicated relaxation components are identifiable and evaluable, such as clay bound water, free water, oil in organic and matrix pores, adsorbed and free gas and organic. The proposed method is a promising technique for core analysis and geophysical prospecting in unconventional reservoirs.
