Abstract
The cost of full waveform inversion can be considerably reduced by inverting simultaneously encoded shots. The conventional encoded multisource full waveform inversion cannot be applied to the marine streamer acquisition data because of the mismatch of the acquisition geometries of the observed and synthetic data. To solve this problem, we propose a frequency-encoded hybrid-domain multisource full waveform inversion method by using the harmonic sine functions with different frequencies as source wavelets to perform the wavefield simulation. The key enabling property of this algorithm is that it solves the problem of the acquisition geometry mismatch on the basis of no crosstalk noise. The synthetic examples verify that our algorithm works fine for marine data.
