Abstract

Summary

Fluid inclusion analysis and Quantitative Fluorescence Technique (QFT) were conducted for the Jurassic Sangonghe Formation of the Mosuowan Uplift, Junggar Basin, China. Moreover, in combination with tectonic evolution process, hydrocarbon generation history and regional burial-geothermal history, the existence of paleo-reservoir was proved, and its hydrocarbon charging history was analyzed. The results are as follows. (1) The Sangonghe Formation of the Mosuowan Uplift started to be charged with oil and gas since the early stage of Early Cretaceous to form paleo hydrocarbon pools, since the QGF and GOI indexes of oil reservoir are greater than 4 and 5%, respectively. (2) During the Neogene when the strata were tilted, the paleo hydrocarbons pools were destroyed, and oil were adjusted and re-migrated. This is revealed by that some intervals, the QGF index is high, while the QGF-E intensity is low. (3) There were more than one period of hydrocarbon charging in the Sangonghe Formation. It is referred that the process involved low-maturity oil generated from the Jurassic source rocks, according to the low QGF index, high QGF-E intensity.
