METIS Hits The Ground in Papua New Guinea, a Field-Proof Innovative Method to Revolutionize Onshore Seismic Acquisition

METIS is a new disruptive onshore acquisition method developed by Total and its partners Wireless Seismic Incorporated and Geokinetics. It is designed to revolutionize the foothills seismic acquisition survey by combining a unique wireless real time seismic receiver and an innovative deployment by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. A first pilot in one of the most challenging foothills environment on the planet was performed end of 2017 and presented in this abstract.
