Abstract
Summary
In this study interfacial properties of oil/water contact were experimentally investigated through extensive IFT measurements. Results showed that asphaltenes play a very significant role due to their strong surface activities. It was revealed that pressure changes could have minor effects on asphaltenes surface activity. More importantly, it was concluded that reins type and concentration as well, have controlling effects on asphaltenes surface activity. These finding could greatly help flow assurance engineers to effectively overcome associated problems dealt with asphaltenes.
