Abstract
Summary
The Exmouth Plateau has been affected by the Mesozoic rifting which formed the North West Shelf. Early rift-related activity began in the central Exmouth Plateau in the latest Triassic, ceasing in the early Cretaceous with the close of continental breakup. The distribution of eroded fault block crests in the central plateau indicates a widespread region of impact for rift-related uplift.
