Abstract
“The seismic forward modeling is an extremely important part of seismic data processing. In this paper, a wave field simulation method based on the one-way propagation operator in the frequency-space domain is introduced, which is different from the finite difference method. It can not only simultaneously simulate the primary wave and multiples, but also can simulate multiples alone, as well as the multiples of different order(surface related multiples and internal multiples). The principle of this method is similar to FWMod, which is first proposed by Berkhout.
In the conventional seismic migration, multiples are often regarded as useless information. The wavelet field of the different components is obtained by using the wave field simulation method introduced in this paper, and then the imaging is carried out. Finally, the first-order surface related multiple is simulated through the wave field simulation by order and imaged with the primary. Then using the least-square migration of prestack of depth to suppresses the crosstalk in the surface multiple image and greatly improve the image quality of the underground structure.”
