Abstract
The optimal method of sampling is to achieve the best result for all elements of the sampling system that include the location of the sampling points, the number of sampling points, the method of selection, the measurement methodology, etc.). It is necessary that sampling geologic system to adhere to the best accuracy with a minimum amount of observations and to minimize the analysis error. The optimal distance / area between step of sampling can be done where the background variance of the indicator is comparable with the variance of the indicator of single object. To increase the reliability of data with high random variability of rock properties, several samples should be taken at each observation point. The accuracy of the results can be improved by duplicating the analyzes and repeated measurements. Sampling with composite sample leads to a sharp decrease the fluctuations in comparison with sampling with single sample suppression of structural and texture inhomogeneities and averaging the values of indicators.
