Abstract

Summary

We constructed a numerical technique for solving the linear forward magnetic problem of finding the vertical magnetic field generated by a horizontal layer with unidirectional magnetization which is variable by intensity. The technique for approximation of the integral operator is based on the finite volume scheme. The efficient parallel algorithm was constructed and implemented on the multicore CPU using OpenMP technology and on GPU using CUDA technology. A model problem with synthetic data was solved.
