Abstract

Summary

The modified parallel algorithm for solving the inverse gravity problem of finding several boundary surfaces in multilayered medium is constructed and implemented on multicore CPU using the OpenMP technology. The algorithm is based on the iterative linearized conjugate gradient method with weighting factors. The modification is based on replacing the blocks of Jacobean matrix of the integral operator by band matrices. The model problem of reconstructing two surfaces using synthetic gravitational data was solved. The modified algorithm reduces the execution time by two times with little effect on the error of the solution.
