Abstract

Summary

In 2017 large project was started by Gazpromneft-Angara in order to update geological model of clastic Vendean formation on several oil & gas field of Eastern Siberia. During project on exploration wells new technologies was used including newest for industry electrical borehole imager - Quanta Geo - high-resolution imager for oil-based mud. Physical limitations related to electrical properties of near well zone can be overcome by a detailed calibration on Core data. Images along with sedimentological Core description allowed detail characteristics of paleocurrent directions. From petrophysical point of view based on images high-resolution sand thicknesses was reliably estimated. One of the main discoveries was made on basis of sedimentological analysis, new trends of paleocurrents shows a much more complex picture and help with well-to-well correlation.
