Abstract

Summary

Kosyu-Rogovskaya depression is a large asymmetric negative structure. It is bounded from the northwest by the Chernyshev ridge, from the northeast by the Vorkuta transverse uplift, from the southeast by the Ural fold system. The results of 3D modeling are the most informative within the non-dislocated and weakly dislocated areas, outside the zone of development of thrust structures. Within the fold-thrust zones, it is more correct to use the extrapolation of the results of 1D and 2D modeling.

The generalized and analyzed results of sequence-stratigraphic analysis, paleofacies analysis of well logging, geochemical and literary data made it possible to predict the position and distribution of elements of the oil system (reservoir-seal-source rocks-trap) within the study area.

In the section of the sedimentary cover of the Chernyshev Ridge and the Kosyu-Rogovskaya Depression, 7 intervals of rocks characterized by an increased generation potential were identified.

The 3D basin modeling allowed to identify the centers of generation of each source, the migration route and to study the possible component composition of hydrocarbons in the proposed reservoirs at different levels.
