Summary:
Coastal Louisiana is greatly affected by the subsidence of strata and slippage of growth faults. Geomorphic indicators help illustrate fault presence, these indicators typically include wetland loss, damage to infrastructure, and relative submergence of land area. Seismic surveys, cores, and water wells can be used to further study these structures.
