Abstract
Summary
Güralp has successfully installed 11 stations comprising borehole seismometers broadband around the Kashagan oilfield in the Caspian Sea in order to monitor both naturally occurring seismic events in the area and possible earthquakes induced by production activities managed by NCOC. The network operates in real-time by using digitisers connected to satellite modems capable of providing connectivity in order to remote control of the instrumentation. Güralp continues to produce quarterly reports for NCOC containing detailed information about the network state-of-health, list of detected events and their nature.
