Broadband Broadsweep Signals and Explosive Sources in the Same 3D Seismic Acquisition Project

Newly developed Broadsweep vibroseismic technology was applied together with traditional explosive source seismic 3D acquisition during the same large land and transition zone seismic acquisition project. Resent developments in vibrator electronic system GDS-II were used for generation of broadband sweep signal. Resulting images after standard independent processing of two different datasets from two seismic sources show improved image quality and spectral content of Broadsweep signal data.
