Abstract

Summary

The results of the combined data processing of the frequency domain and the time domain data is considered. Airborne time domain electromagnetic systems are effectively applied to detection of the good conductor in the relative insulator at a deep depth. But the subsurface part of a section remains poorly explored. Frequency domain systems allow to determine subsurface resistivity in more detail and in a wider range. The simultaneous registration of both time domain and frequency domain data realized in the EQUATOR system significantly expands a class of solvable geological tasks in ore geology, engineering researches and the hydrogeology. Practical survey results with use of the EQUATOR system are given in the conditions of the Angolan shield for kimberlite exploration. Survey works in the Central African ridge area are presented for the solution of a wide range the geological mapping and exploration tasks. The contribution of each method of soundings is estimated for practical result of researches.
