Abstract

Summary

Geohezards investigation is a part of engineering geological site survey and is one of the goal of the survey. Methods and techniques can be used for the investigation are the subject of local and international regulations and practices. Russian practice includes detail set of methods and scope of work of soil site investigation. when western practice means mostly methods but not scope. Different sets of surveyed geohazards in Russian and international experience is a result of variety of site soil and geological conditions. Both practices do not provide complete information on required methods, data and final results of the survey. it would be logical to split all geohazards survey in two groups: 1. shallow (limited by soil section depth of 50m and important for natural foundation stability) and 2. deep or geological.
