Abstract

Summary

Analysis of offset wells in WDDM offshore Nile Delta, Egypt shows that there are two identifiable loading trends differentiating the Plio-Pleistocene from the Miocene mudstones. These two trends represent a secondary pore pressure mechanism beibg active in the basin with an unloading trend being observed in one of the offset wells showing the transitional phase.
