Abstract

Summary

Reservoir simulation, reserve estimations and reservoir development plans require monitoring static bottom-hole pressure of the wells during field production. In this study an investigation of more than 350 static surveys data set for 8 different gas fields had been carried out to study the pressure gradient trends in different gas wells. Results show that, generally, gas pressure gradients in this study have an increasing trend with depth at their early production life and are constant after some years of production. Besides, a detailed investigation had been carried out for one of the fields to find a correlation between cumulative gas production and the average static pressure gradient.
