Abstract

Summary

On the 21-23 January 2019 during the Bryan Lovell Meeting 2019, Role of Geological Science in the Decarbonisation of Power Production, Heat, Transport and Industry in London, UK, the new Decarbonization and Energy Transition Special Interest Community was first launched. This new community promotes the interests of members working on both the geo-scientific and engineering aspects of surface and subsurface decarbonization including CO2 sequestration and the advancement of renewables such as geothermal energy production. We are inviting all interested members to be part of an environment to network, manage events, share technical information and otherwise reach out and communicate on a global basis.
