Abstract

Summary

A study, using concepts based on the Analytics of Things (AoT) was carried out to better understand further sources of non-repeatability, beyond source and receiver positioning, within time-lapse seismic. A relational database was built and populated with data to describe multiple time-lapse seismic surveys provided from Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) operations carried out during the Spring and the Autumn over several years. This included data which described the operational aspects of a seismic operation, data to describe the seismic signal recorded, and data to describe the environmental factors, which could affect a seismic operation. The data was analysed, and the insight produced will be discussed.
