Abstract

Summary

A reliable seismic and petro-facial model is a tool for reducing uncertainties.

Petro-facial modeling has shown its high efficiency on Gazprom Neft assets. Due to this technology, the information content of logging data has increased significantly. The structure of the rock pore space is one of the main distinguishing factors of facies. A wide range of geological and petrophysical information allows creating a more detailed geological model and reasonably developing optimal solutions for reservoir engineering. The success of petro-facies modeling and ensuring methodology of logging data interpretation depends on the presence of a correlation between the filtration-capacitive properties and sedimentation conditions.
