Abstract
This petrophysical study evaluated a carbonate reservoir using geological information, geophysical well logs and laboratory experimental data. This reservoir is in the post-salt layer of the Campos Basin - Southeast Brazil. Based on density, neutron and sonic logs, different approaches were used to determine the porosity. Likewise, the nuclear magnetic resonance log was also used to evaluate porosity and permeability using different approaches. Subsequently, all these parameters were compared between them and with laboratory data. The results show that estimate porosity is simpler than permeability, because porosity is easily determined with a multiple linear regression while permeability only with a multiple polynomial regression.
