Abstract

Summary

We present an integrated case study on the Fossekall field by combining information from both 4D seismic data and dynamic reservoir models. Together, the 4D data and dynamic models gave rise to the identification of un-swept target area, explanation of poor pressure support around producer and calibration of the existing stress-sensitivity model. The interpretation of the 4D signals also supported the discrimination between two ensembles of well history matched reservoir models, which was used for a new well path/target evaluation and optimization. Due to short turn around, 4D seismic data was utilized in a qualitative manner to rank different ensembles of dynamic models and to evaluate the commercial consequences of the target.
