Abstract

Summary

Qualitative technologies including different optical microscopes, SEM and FESEM, were utilized to study reservoir micro structure features. Quantitative technologies including high pressure mercury penetration, Nano-CT, and nitrogen adsorption, were used to characterize sizes and shapes of storage spaces quantitatively. Reservoir of Da’anzhai Member can be divided into 9 types, while storage spaces can be divided into 4 types and 14 sub-types. Most storage spaces possess good connectivity and the characteristic of slit type. By building up the storage space models, it was revealed that micron scale storage spaces which are mainly composed of fractures and nanometer scale pores and fractures form multi-scale dual porosity system.
