Abstract
In order to meet the needs of 3D seismic data denosing, we have studied the method of 3D anisotropic diffusion filtering is studied and analyzed the local characteristics of three-dimensional geological structure by structure tensor. Then we propose an improved coherence enhancing diffusion method based on a 3D nonlinear diffusion filtering leading to a better detection of seismic faults. By computing the structure tensor, the confidence measures and stratigraphic coherent coefficient are combined and the eigenvalues of diffusion tensor are fixed which can control the can control the diffusion intensity of seismic data along different directions. Results on both synthesized model and real field data showed the efficiency of the proposed approach in seismic data denoising and fault preserving.
