Summary:
The article presents the main results from a complex study of the processes of seawater intrusion in a costal aquifer and the subsequent changes in composition and qualities of surface waters and groundwater in a wetland of international importance (a Ramsar Site). With purpose of preliminary assessment of the spatial boundaries and salinity level of the coastal aquifer complex, limited geoelectrical studies were carried out in the area. The obtained electrical resistivity sections along all studied lines are transformed into hydrogeological models of saline water intrusion through key criteria.
